Following PRISMA guidelines, we systematically reviewed 109 papers and mapped situational impairments to four components: Understanding, Modelling, Sensing, and Adapting. We compare how impairments affect tasks and assess user experience using objective and subjective metrics. We also catalogue sensing and adaptation strategies that sustain MR usability across varied conditions.
